I know this vid came out 3 years ago, but thanks a lot for the detailed log clean and press vid. I used to lift 5 days a week, but stopped 3 years ago, then tried with zero conditioning and did my l4 / l5 ( used to deadlift 205kg / squat 160 etc so was well conditioned with a solid core in the past) Anyway, feeling good now at almost 50 years old. Hips / Back / flexors all good, so now, minimum weight, flexibility / range of motion, build my core again... Take it from there 😁
Glad to hear you found the video useful 👊🏻

Hey, 1/3 isn't so bad!

Thank you for the support
Like a backpack with weights form decathlon… buddy this can actually injured somebody. I recommend the special vest with you can add up weight easily
Been using it for years with 0% injury rate in multiple populations
Where did you buy this?
@@Lipstickman pullum
@@Lipstickmancan’t find it either !
I remember when doctor Mike isreteal said the front squats aren’t helpful for strongman 😂😂. Like whatv
He should probably stick to bodybuilding/nutrition if that’s true
Good stuff. What is your opinion about zombie squats for atlas stones?
Not something I use as a training option
This is a terrible machine
Why the hate?!
@winningstrength boy shut up. Go cry about it to mommy. I hate when men can't accept the truth. It's not hate it's truth. Take it like a man.
🏈🏈😜
Love it. Been really working on block starts with my 13yo. Reaction time and starting strength are huge on dropping your times. 🚀
🐐
wtf
Tendon elasticity for sports performance not for bodybuilding
Can u do this workout with it not being mounted on the safeties?
Yup, just changes the stimulus but still works the same muscle group
Brilliant info Tom!
Thanks Joni, coming from a high level u90kg strongman like yourself this is appreciated
Very good advice that isnt widely known yet, thank you for pointing this out here! No need to extend mobility if it is already at full range just because...
Yes sir!
I don't even train strongman and still, this video was extremely useful and interesting, thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it
I use a scaffolding levelling jack in my local gym as I have no access to stones, and they wouldn't let me buy any. It's plate loadable, so you can increase the weight with very small and precise increments. It's not perfect, but it does a pretty decent job.
Nice
very nice coach
Many thanks 👊🏻
That guy in the video looks like me 😂
🤣
Always good to see your videos, keep it up! 🙋♂️ Btw, are you currently seeking video editors or a thumbnail designer to enhance viewers, retention, or CTR? If yes, May I send you a previous work sample?
Hi Tom. Where did you acquire that loadable Thor hammer handle from? Thanks.
This was purchased from Watson Gym
@@winningstrength Thank you 😀👍

All these "crazy volume" (Bulgarian method etc) regimes are based on laying in the bed 20 hours a day.
Also volumes of PEDs
@MrGrumpy3456 weightlifting is tested, so is much less PED involved than in bodybuilding
@@gyorgygajdos1657 If you would look it up yourself and not just yap your mouth you would see, this is from the horses mouth "The team physician admitted to prescribing anabolic steroids to the lifters twice a year to help speed recovery. Over the years, some of the Bulgarian lifters tested positive. But Bulgaria wasn’t the only country to test positive, and weightlifters aren’t the only athletes guilty of steroid usage." And thats how the Bulgarian method was created.
@@gyorgygajdos1657lmao
I can remember as a kid reading about some of his unusual lifts Rigert performed and one that stands out is snatching without use of the thumbs. That ain’t no joke.
He was a monster!
And also snatching a substantial weight in swim trunks and flip flops whilst relaxing after a comp….plus he was a moderately heavy smoker during his reign.
Behind the neck presses usually result in shoulder pain for me. What’s the next best alternative or is there a way to progress towards having the range of motion to do these?
I would get the movement pattern reviewed first then an assessment with a qualified practitioner like Dr Peter Lundgren. If you have to swap I would use 80° dumbbell press with a neutral grip
Cheers for the vid boss 🫡
You got it
Popey pronator for very strong forearm ?
Available from Golden Grip
Damn his leg drive is off the charts he works on his lockout and he will be insane
He will be insane? He's England's Strongest Man U90, Britain's Strongest man U90 and holds the U90kg deadlift world record. He's dominant af.
I could be buggin but ain't this one bad for your shoulders or sum
Who said it was bad?!
This is why reverse pec deck is goated
I'd disagree as there is no chance of stability with this option. For bodybuilding maybe, but stability elements are key for performance
@@winningstrength its the same movement apart from your seated. and id argue that its better because you can put more focus and emphasis on your delts as opposed to bracing your core and stabalizing your self, being bent over also inhibits breathing a little bit which is another thought. to each their own though
@@driq9315 It's not as the arm movement is completely fixed whereas with a cable the arm can move through all planes requiring control, requiring a different proprioceptive input. Yes you can put more tension through the posterior delt, but again at the expense of stability so it's better for bodybuilding.
Amazing 👏
I like you starting off the unrack with intent as that can mean the difference between a good and a difficult squat 👍
100%!
All most all strong men oratixe there grip it’s one the most vital things I guarantee all strongmen do this is a terrible take
You do realise I coach strongmen from novice to World level so this isn't a random opinion but a factual one?
👏👏👏👏💪💪💪💪
Excellent year💪 congrats to everyone.
Beast
wtf is this..?
It’s a variation for an adaptive athlete who can’t physically safely or perform a deadlift standing.
Think he was talking about the tranny
What could he do proper rules? No suit, no straps and no hitch?
Well these are 'proper' rules as it's governed by strongman. If you mean powerlifting rules specific to a federation that doesn't allow suits, he could do 370-380kg without training it. Without training all the other events and with some time I'm sure he'd be up past 400kg
@@winningstrength Wow.
I enjoy these allot, great video.
Thank you
Brilliant Rob 😂
